This page is for users who have Bank Rec software on their computer and Bank Rec's SQL Express on another computer.

If you are trying to connect to a full SQL Server that you already have (not provided by Treasury Software) - please see the instructions for SQL Server

If you installed our bundled (Software + SQL Express) download or have installed our software and SQL Express on the same computer - stop here.  No additional work is needed.

SQL Express

Start Treasury Software (client) and from the Welcome New Users screen select Bank Reconciliation.

In the Sample account, from the 'Settings' tab, select 'Migrate to SQL Express, SQL Server'.

If you are prompted to install SQL Client tools, please do so, and then restart the Wizard by selecting the 'Settings' tab then selecting 'Migrate to SQL Express, SQL Server'.

From the drop down list, select the computer hosting the SQL Express database.

Congratulations.  Exit and re-enter the software.

After exiting and re-enter the software, you can check your connection.
Click on Help > About.

Never delete the 'Sample' database.
