Overview

Need to create ACH files for JPMorgan Chase? ACH Universal Online makes it simple. Whether you're using Chase Business Online (CBO) or another Chase platform, our ACH Universal software can generate fully compliant Nacha files for your ACH payments and collections. This guide focuses on Chase Business Online (CBO) setup, but we also provide instructions for Enhanced or Commercial platforms using our general ACH Instructions.

Step-by-Step: Configure ACH Files for Chase Business Online (CBO)

1. Access ACH Setup

• From the ACH Universal Home Page, click:
  • ACH Setup > Advanced Tab
  • Select Bank Specific – Chase and turn on the toggle.

Once enabled, the page will populate with Chase-specific fields.

2. Enter Required Information

When prompted, provide:

• Company Name
• Chase Bank Account Number
• Transaction Type:
  • Debits (customer collections)
  • Credits (employee direct deposits or vendor payments)

Click Save Changes.

3. Automatic Formatting

ACH Universal Online will:

• Format your ACH file to comply with Chase Business Online specifications.
• Populate the Company Entry Description field:
  • PAYROLL for PPD transactions
  • PURCHASE for CCD transactions

Important Chase Business Online Tips

Chase Business Online (CBO) tips.  Please remember that: 

• PPD (personal/consumer) credits and CCD (corporate/business) transactions must be dated at least one business day in advance. If creating both debits and credits, you need two separate files:
• Credits → Upload via Chase Payment Center
• Debits → Upload via Chase ACH Collections

Create two accounts in ACH Universal: one for debits and one for credits.
