Importing an ACH File
For most Corporate and Processor clients, importing an ACH file is fairly simple.
Click on the Import Transactions Wizard on the Home Page and point to an ACH File.
Notes:
--You can import ACH files created with ACH Universal or any other application.
--If your ACH file is not importable (not in good format), we have alternate methods below.
Settings
For virtually all clients, no settings need to be set.
However, if you are a 'Third-Party Processor' such as a payroll processing company and/or your ACH file contains batch headers for multiple entities, you will need to turn on ACH-Edit within ACH Setup (panel 6, requires Processor level license).
If your source ACH File is not importable (not in good format)
If the Import Transactions window does not recognize that your ACH File is an ACH File try the following methods.
--First, try to let the system know it is an ACH file.
Click on the lower half of the Import Transactions button in the ribbon bar - and select ACH File. This will trigger the Import Wizard as noted at the top of this article.
If this works, you're all set.
--If the above method doesn't work, you can convert the ACH file to Excel using our ACH-2-Excel utility.
Click on the ACH-2-Excel button in the ribbon bar and then select your file.
Once the data is in Excel, upon review - import the Excel file. If this works, you're all set.
--Try to obtain the data in an alternate format, such as Excel or a csv file.
If the two alternate methods above were unsuccessful, your ACH file has format/syntax errors and cannot be used. Try to see if you can get the data in an alternate format - such as Excel or a csv file.
